Contractor Monitoring Scope
Site Access & Presence Verification
- Confirm contractor arrival and departure (time-stamped)
- Verify work is occurring on scheduled days
- Document number of workers present (visual only)
- Confirm property is secured after contractor departure
General Site Condition Monitoring
- Visual observation of work areas for obvious issues
- Check for visible water leaks, exposed wiring, or hazards
- Confirm tools and materials are not left unsecured
- Observe basic site safety practices (visual only)
Property Protection Checks
- Confirm doors and windows are secured after work
- Visual check for new or obvious damage unrelated to scope
- Check for debris or materials posing immediate risk
- Observe weather exposure risks (open areas, tarps, coverings)
If Wellington Home Watch personnel observe unsafe conditions, including but not limited to active hazards, structural concerns, gas odours, or unsafe electrical conditions, the following actions will occur:
- Personnel will maintain a safe distance or exit the site if necessary
- No intervention or corrective action will be taken
- The situation will be documented and reported immediately to the owner
- Emergency services may be contacted if required for safety
