All Wellington Home Watch services have a surcharge of $0.60 per kilometre for any locations beyond 15 kilometres from Fergus, Ontario.

Visit Scope (Interior + Exterior)
Exterior Monitoring
The Gold Plan includes all Exterior Monitoring services provided under the Silver Plan, with the following additional monitoring enhancements.

Silver Plan Exterior Monitoring (Included):
- Confirm doors and windows are secure
- Visual check for signs of forced entry or vandalism
- Observe roofline, soffits, and siding for visible damage
- Check for mail, flyers, or signs of vacancy
- Observe driveway, walkways, and entrances for hazards
- Visual check for storm or weather damage

Gold Plan Enhancements:
- Perimeter walk-around of the property
- Gate, fence, and shed visual checks
- Outdoor water shut-off visual confirmation (if accessible)
- Weather-related risk assessment
Interior Monitoring
The Gold Plan includes all Interior Monitoring services provided under the Silver Plan, with the following additional monitoring enhancements.

Silver Plan Interior Monitoring (Included):
- Visual inspection for obvious water leaks
- Confirm heating system appears operational (no temperature verification)
- Check for power availability (visual check of lights / breakers)
- Observe for unusual odours (mold, gas, sewage)
- General interior condition overview (no testing of systems)

Gold Plan Enhancements:
- Flush all toilets
- Run faucets briefly to verify water flow
- Check under sinks for visible leaks
- Verify sump pump area (visual inspection only)
- Confirm thermostat setting and ambient temperature
- Visually check major appliances (refrigerator, freezer, washer)
- Confirm smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are present and unobstructed
- Inspect for visible signs of pest activity

Silver Plan Documentation & Reporting (Included):
- Written visit report for each monitoring visit
- Photo documentation of key areas observed
- Immediate notification to the homeowner for urgent issues identified

Gold Plan Enhancements:
- More detailed written visit reports with expanded observations
- Expanded photo documentation to support reporting
- Visit history maintained per property
- Priority homeowner notification for issues identified
- Wellington Home Watch personnel will exit the home immediately
- No further interior monitoring will be performed during that visit
- The situation will be treated as a potential safety hazard
- Wellington Home Watch will follow its published Emergency Policy for appropriate next steps
Documentation & Reporting
The Gold Plan includes all Documentation & Reporting services provided under the Silver Plan, with the following enhanced documentation and notification features.
If Wellington Home Watch personnel detect unusual or potentially hazardous odours, including but not limited to natural gas, sewage, or mold, the following actions will be taken immediately for safety reasons:
